The pandemic threatens vulnerable families.

Terre des hommes (uk)

In Jordan, more than 650,000 Syrian refugees are living in a precarious situation, with no stable future prospects, 80% of them outside the camps. Many of the children are threatened by early school dropout, child labour and early marriage. Tdh activities focus on helping the refugee population and the host communities to provide fair access to child protection services and to give children support. We also work towards the implementation of restorative juvenile justice.

Jordan: helping children to be children again

«We have to remind people worldwide that children are the main victims of conflicts and that they need to be considered first and foremost if we want to avoid harsh consequences on the well-being, safety and education of the generations to come.»

Céline Lefebvre, MENA Regional Head
